As the work-from-home economy carries on, Collingwood, Ontario is proving to be yet another rural marketplace experiencing an impressive increase in market values due to pent-up demand from buyers who are looking for additional square-footage.

In January, the average sale price for a residential-detached freehold home was $788,661. In January 2020, the average sale price for the same class of ownership was $600,321. That is a whopping 31.4% increase in one year’s time.

There is still no investment like a real estate investment!

The average days-on-market in January was 11. This number is down from an average of 23 days in December 2020.

The average list-to-sale ratio was 103.9% of the asking price. This now solidifies a third consecutive month with an average sale price over 100% of the ask price.

With each passing day, we are seeing more and more supply infiltrate the market.
